VICE PRINCIPAL’S REPORT: Ronda Haun
Academics:
Semester finals went smoothly. Students were on track and getting teacher support when needed. The start of second semester is going well also. Thanks to parent volunteers for helping distribute the new schedules. Counselors met with students in the library after school each day during the first week of the new semester.

The new planning guides are online already and have been printed. They will be handed out soon.

Athletics:
We had a very nice event honoring Paul Noonan, Jake Fetzer and Kevin Riley.

Jam the Dam took place Friday February 10th.

Spring sports begin their seasons February 21st.

Facilities:
We will be purchasing white boards for all our classrooms soon.

Merle Davies was toured, last week by district officials to review leaking ceilings, etc. Starting in March administrators will begin looking at where to put teachers, storage, etc. Two more portables will arrive in the spring. We will use those 8 classrooms for the math teachers.

There has been an increase in thefts from cars, classrooms and lockers. Please take extra care to lock your cars and lockers. There is also a group of teenagers who are stealing garage door openers out of cars parked in people’s driveways, then returning later and getting into the house to steal things.
