VICE PRINCIPAL’S REPORT: Ronda Haun
Next week is the opening of “Oliver”. It will run the 13th-15th and 19th-21st. We have approved a middle school day on April 16th at 10:00am.

The following week (April 17-21) is prom week. The theme this year is “Never, Never Land”. There will be an assembly on Friday and the prom on Saturday.

Construction:
Verizon Wireless is working on their underground lines next to the football field.

They are re-doing the water lines on Stott to increase their size. This will continue throughout the month of April.

April 18th and 19th we need two volunteers each lunch to collect fees for AP exams.

The Adolescent Brain Forum will be held on May 17th.

Many of our Beaverton students are very passionate about the legislative bill about immigration. They are planning a march.

VOLUNTEER COORDINATORS: Anne and Michele
We reviewed positions on our volunteer committee. All volunteers will return to the same position next year with the exception of Karen Cunningham as Classroom Volunteer Coordinator, and the possible addition of Sharon Skrydlak to help in Counseling. We will be looking to replace Karen and would also like to find someone to help with Data Input (which Karen also handled.)

Sharon Skryidlak plans to attend the Booster Club meeting to request $500.00 to purchase Help Counter, a software program used to track volunteer hours and sort volunteers by activities they have signed up for. If Booster Club agrees to the purchase Anne will send out an e-mail asking for a computer donation to be used to load the software.

Volunteer Appreciation is this month. We will be sending out a letter to say “Thank You” for volunteering!

May 5th at 9:00 is the Principal’s Coffee. We will welcome new middle school parents to BHS and committee chair-people will give a brief description of what we do. Everyone come! Refreshments will be provided. Booster Club will be invited also.

The final Volunteer Committee meeting will be June 2nd.
